INSTRUCTOR BIO: Jason Frank has been a full time locksmith for more than 30 years, and is the owner/operator of Central Iowa Safe & Lock in Des Moines, IA.  He is an internationally known author, and a nationally sought after instructor for his knowledge of automotive programming/eeprom and high security automotive.

His certifications include: Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL), Certified Automotive Locksmith (CAL), Certified Master Safecracker (CMS), Certified Lishi Instructor, as well as a registered Yoga instructor.

As the author of the Hands On High Security book series and host of the classes by the same name, Jason has instructed hundreds of students ranging from beginners to long time locksmiths. He has been a staple at the Just Cars events for a number of years and has volunteered his time at numerous venues across the country to aid in locksmith education and training. Come learn from the guy who “wrote the book” on high security automotive locksmith practices.

CLASS DESCRIPTION9 a.m. – 12 noon       High Security Automotive

This is a high security automotive introduction locksmith class. Stop turning down work or referring it to other locksmiths or sending back to the dealers.. Learn valuable skills that will translate into added income for your business. Whether you’ve never worked on high security auto locks or are a seasoned veteran, you’ll want to take this class. Class size is limited to ensure you get a true hands-on experience. Bring your notepads and your desire to learn but please leave the video recorders at home. This will be a fun combination of instructional information and hands-on learning.

Topics include:
• Nomenclature and understanding how high security locks and keys function together. We will discuss high security from the basic to advanced
• Best ways to fit keys to high security automotive locks. This will include picking, reading, dismantling, and visual decoding.
• Repairing and servicing high security automotive locks
• Assembly/disassembly of common high security locks such as Ford and GM.

12 Noon  –  1 p.m.   Catered Lunch provided by Iowa Chapter of ALOA

1 p.m. –  5 p.m.   Hands on Lishi Tool training class

Original Lishi tools (produced by Mr. Li) come in standard blind touch picks, decoders and the unique 2-in-1 pick/decoder.  This 4-hour hands on training course
will provide an in depth overview for the 3 types of Lishi Tools. Students will have hands-on exercises that will allow them to pick, decode and use
the 2-in-1 pick/decoder.   This class will explore how the various Lishi automotive tools can be used by locksmiths to open and decode virtually any vehicle on the market today.

Students will learn to use the tools correctly and efficiently to pick open automotive locks and accurately decode the lock in preparation for cutting a key.
Stop calling and spending your hard earned money on key codes.   Lishi tools are the answer.
